Commrade Mark Olise- Director Of Administration NDPSF :: >>At this juncture, we must remember with sorrow all those who have died or suffered in our search for  a New Nigeria. On Wednesday, August 9, 2006, Thisday daily newspaper carried a publication captioned, “Dokubo Seeks Release of German Hostage”, purportedly culled from a press statement signed by one Mr. Allen Onyema who claimed to be writing un-behalf of Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo–Asari. We condemn in totality every aspect of the said publication/statement. In the statement, the said Mr. Allen Onyema wrote that, “it has come to the notice of the detained Niger- Delta activist and youth leader, Alhaji Dokubo-Asari through a newspaper report that the kidnappers of the German national who was kidnapped few days ago were demanding his immediate and unconditional release from detention and that of another person facing trial as a condition for the release of the hostage”. It went further to state that, “Asari wishes to appeal to the kidnappers to release unconditionally, their hostage as he has no hand in his travails”. Also Mr. Allen Onyema in the said statement claimed that Alhaji Dokubo-Asari mandated his group, Foundation for Ethnic Harmony in Nigeria (FEHN) to transform members of his group through the non-violence education introduced by the group.

However, it will be proper that we put the fact as they are.

1.         Mr. Allen Onyema who claimed that he was the Chairman of FEHN visited our leaders in detention two months ago to discuss about peaceful alternative means of agitation. Our leader told him that peaceful means does not work in Nigeria because gentlemen are not in government yet. He told them that the Nigerian state does not respect an agreement which is why our people are returning back to revolutionary means of resistance.

2.         Recently Mr. Allen Onyema sent a message through Dokubo’s wife to him asking for his intervention in the case of the abduction of a German national. Alhaji Dokubo-Asari sent a message back to him through his wife that Mr. Onyema should not drag him into a matter that he knows nothing about.

3.         At no time did Alhaji Dokubo-Asari mandate FEHN to transform members of his group. This is derogatory, malicious, condemnable, contemptible and totally false. It is an attempt to undermine and ridicule the genuine and patriotic struggle of our people. Our esteemed leader will continue to support violent means of resistance until the freedom and liberty of the Niger- Delta is recognized.

Finally, we salute the courage of all our genuine patriots and nationalists who have found                    one way or the other to register their voices against the exploitation, dehumanization and victimization of our people and leaders, for they are the heroes of our struggle.

The struggle continues!
