Press Statement ¨C Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari
Wherever the banner of freedom is lifted, the torn flag of the
oppressor will also be hoisted alongside the banner of freedom.
Today, visionless, reactionary and counter-struggle elements are
trying their utmost, in collaboration with the bandit government of
the Nigerian State, to bring to disrepute, our patriotic and heroic
struggle.
Recent events unfolding in the Bantustans of River State has proven
that the hand of the bandit government of the Nigerian State is
involved in the new wave of increasing criminal activities. All this
is done to achieve the goal of discrediting the patriotic,
nationalist and humane struggle of our heroic combatants in the eyes
and minds of our people. We must be eternally vigilant in order not
to be hoodwinked by the dubious antics of the cowardly and
crestfallen lunatic political elite who have appropriated to
themselves our natural patrimony in disregard to all natural and
international laws and conventions.
I, Alhaji Mujahid Abubakr Dokubo-Asari, hereby strongly dissociate
myself and all the volunteers and combatants of the Niger Delta
People's Volunteer Force (NDPVF) from the recent acts of brigandage
and senseless killing by people who claim to be part of the noble
struggle of the oppressed and dispossessed people of the Niger Delta
©¤ These people are not and will never be a part of us. They stand
eternally condemned in this world and in the hereafter for
volunteering themselves to be used by a dubious and discredited
oligarchy.
I want the people to mobilize and equip themselves to confront this
visionless, reactionary and counter-struggle elements. They do not
have any spiritual protection or backing. Majority of our combatants
believe in the ability of the Ijaw deities to provide them
supernatural protection. This spiritual essence commands that their
protections should not be used in the promotion of evil and
criminality, therefore bank robbery, stealing and the senseless
taking of innocent life runs contrary to the high moral and
spiritual laws of our noble struggle. We must not be afraid of them
because they are mere flesh and blood like us.
I feel the grief in my heart and my heart goes in sympathy to all
those who have been fallen by the criminal and unholy bullets of
these bandits. We must be strong for history is on our side. This
was how the criminal apartheid government of
South Africa
promoted blacks-on-blacks violence in their erroneous belief that it
will guarantee them an ever lasting reign ©¤ they failed. So also
will the dubious and criminal government of the Nigerian State fail.
The struggle is unstoppable!
